Questions and answers
All you need to know about the ORCA Transporter
General
Yes. Thanks to its permissible total weight of less than 3.5 tonnes, the Transporter can be driven with a Class B driving licence – a major advantage given the shortage of drivers in the logistics industry.
There will be two variants of the drive head. The vehicle is based on the Mercedes Sprinter drive head. Variant 1 will have the MU3 OM 654 engine (110 kW/150 hp) and a 6-speed manual transmission. Variant 2 will have the OM 654 DE 20 LA 125 kW (125 kW/170 hp) engine and a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.
It thus combines proven Mercedes technology with innovative Reiter lightweight construction.
Yes, it is ideal as a base vehicle for motorhomes under 3.5 t.
Thanks to its lightweight construction, even after conversion there is still a high payload reserve for luggage, equipment or sports gear.
Absolutely. The Orca Transporter was developed for professional applications – from delivery runs to workshop and assembly work.
The combination of a robust carbon chassis and efficient drive ensures reliability and durability even in tough everyday use.
Yes, customers can customise the transporter to suit their specific needs – for example, in terms of paintwork, interior fittings or additional equipment.
This ensures that each vehicle is optimally tailored to the requirements of the respective business.

Yes, mass production is planned. In the first phase, 75 vehicles will be manufactured per year, with the option of expanding production to up to 200 units per year, depending on market demand.
The planned retail price is starting from €125,000 (net) for the basic model depending on the configuration in the front. There will also be other model variations available depending on the customer needs. This makes it a high-quality, lightweight and CO₂-efficient commercial vehicle at a competitive price.
Camping and Vans
Conversion & Technology
Yes. The ORCA is ideal as a basis for individual camper or expedition conversions. Its large loading volume and high payload offer plenty of freedom for different conversion concepts.
Yes. At its lowest point, the ORCA has a standing height of 196 cm. In other areas, the interior of the van is over 2 meters high.
With a length of 8 meters and a width of 2.4 meters, the ORCA offers a loading volume of around 24.7 m³. This is significantly more than many classic panel vans. This allows for generous living, sleeping, and storage space solutions.
With a payload of up to 1.6 tons, the ORCA offers significantly more reserves than many standard transporters. This makes both heavy conversions and standard camping equipment such as furniture, water tanks, batteries, or solar technology easily possible.
The loading height is only approx. 0.52 m. This makes it easier to install modules, load the vehicle, and access it – especially when loading and unloading frequently or with rear kitchens.
Yes, the ORCA can be converted by yourself or with a professional conversion partner. We are also happy to help you find a suitable converter.
Yes, the ORCA can be ordered with a door on the right-hand side and windows. The large tailgate with upward opening is standard.

The ORCA is currently offered as a base vehicle. Collaborations with conversion partners are possible or planned.
Travel & Usage
The ORCA is primarily designed for roads and paved paths. It will not be available as an all-wheel drive model in 2026. However, depending on the configuration and tires, light off-road driving is possible. The Sprinter has undergone special rough road testing based on the Mercedes-Benz model. Passing this test is a mark of quality in terms of durability and stability, even in difficult ground conditions. The panel van benefits from its exceptionally high torsional rigidity.
Yes. The combination of high cruising speed, efficient drive, and good long-distance capability makes the ORCA comfortable to use even for long journeys.
Yes. The large loading volume and low loading height are ideal for motorcycles, bicycles, sports or outdoor equipment – even in combination with a camper conversion.
The maximum speed is over 160 km/h. This ensures relaxed travel even on longer highway stages.
